Perfect for what we planned
All staff pleasant and helpful...perfect hotel to where we needed to be..beds comfortable rooms clean and free small mini bar was a nice touch.
Wonderful day
I had a wonderful day at this hotel after a terrible stay at a hotel across the street. What a contrast! The staff were accommodating, very polite, friendly, and efficient, both day and night. The room was comfortable with a lovely view of the lively street, and there were thoughtful touches in the minibar. They even stored my luggage, which is a real luxury in London. Everyone was kind and courteous. Thank you all. I will definitely be back.
A wonderful nights sleep after a very long journey, a kind welcome and a super start to a long stay
Location was perfect, we arrived from Australia and took the train to Paddington and there was the hotel just opposite, as were we’re not staying in London at that stage it was perfect for am train to Oxford Unfortunately I have lost the name of the wonderful man who checked us in, and two other reception staff that were so kind The first man showed us where to go for breakfast ( which was included and ina restaurant over the road, we were touched by his extra kindness in a complimentary addition, we thank him) Our room was on second floor I think, overlooking Main Street but quiet at night, we had a comfortable nights sleep, a wonderful breakfast and were made to feel very welcome We had a very good dinner in the Bar/ restaurant on the upper level of the Paddington station I would stay again and recommend this hotel Many thanks to you all Kind regards Sandy and Ted.( Melbourne,Australia).

Great Location, Great Staff!
Staff fantastic, location superb, room decent size for price/ location. Good toiletries, nice freebies in fridge (milk, Coke, water). Great shower, double-glazing keeps street noise to a minimum and windows can be opened. Not too hot despite heatwave. Bed comfy, also had decent desk and chair. Lift was out of order so a complimentary breakfast was offered (but declined as I was going out before breakfast was served).

Very good
This hotel is valuable for its adjacency to Paddington station, to which the Heathrow Express arrives and from which departs. It is literally next door. We use it for the last night before transatlantic flights to make the travel day less stressful. Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Kindness and helpfulness
We are a family with two children, aged 16 and 23. We stayed in two rooms: one for the parents and another for the children, featuring two separate beds. We were absolutely delighted with the hotel's location near Paddington Station—offering access to all forms of transport (train, bus, tube, and taxis)—but were especially impressed by the warm welcome from the entire staff (receptionists, doormen, and housekeeping), as well as their kindness and helpfulness. The hotel was impeccably clean and well-maintained. We would not hesitate to stay here again on a future trip to London. We had a truly wonderful stay.
Exceptional
Great for staying if going to BST Hyde Park. Plenty of food nearby and room was comfortable and clean.
Wonderful staff
Wonderful staff at the Mercure Paddington - care and professionalism on a par with the big five star hotels. I stayed there for nearly two weeks with my partially-disabled husband and we received so much help above and beyond the normal expectations. A huge thank you to all of them😊.
